Hi there!

I’m Melanie, a User Experience Researcher based in Philadelphia.

About + Approach

  • I’m Melanie, a UX researcher who collaborates with users and cross-functional teams to uncover user needs and transform insights into intuitive, user-centered design solutions. I thrive on digging into complex, data-heavy workflows to identify pain points and opportunities that drive meaningful improvements.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me practicing Muay Thai, watching bad reality TV with my dog, getting lost in a thriller novel, or gardening in my South Philly backyard.

  • User research is about amplifying the voices of those we serve. With a background in veterinary medicine and healthcare, I’ve learned the importance of making people feel heard and safe. This empathy drives my work as I uncover user needs, goals, and mental models to inform meaningful, efficient, and valuable solutions.

To me, UX research ensures we’re creating solutions that truly meet user needs, rather than relying solely on our own assumptions. By identifying patterns and uncovering unseen opportunities, I tell the story of our users in a way that fosters understanding and empathy among stakeholders. This story is not just data; it’s a bridge that connects teams to the people who rely on our products.

My role is to listen, dig deep, and share insights that inspire teams to create impactful experiences. I’m passionate about returning to the fundamentals of user research, focusing on quality, and contributing to a community that values curiosity, connection, and care.
